 About me

My passion for photography began as a college student – using the legendary Konica FS-1, world’s first 35mm SLR with built-in motor drive. During that time, I explored landscape and sports photography, including taking/developing black and white images for The Spectator, the Seattle University student newspaper. Since those days, my interest and techniques in photography have continued to expand, and with the advent of digital cameras, my equipment has transitioned to a mirrorless system (Sony A6300 and Sony A7riii).

While my photographic stomping grounds primarily encompass the Western region of North America, my travels (and camera) have also been to international locations as distant as Tasmania. Regardless of location, significant research, planning and patience have resulted in the unique images that you see on my website. Often times sleep deprivation, exposure to harsh elements and/or climbing several hours in the dark was required to obtain an image. I don't limit myself to any category of photography because opportunity, weather, inspiration and light conditions primarily dictate my plans. The challenge in capturing the moment is what drives me, and the artistic opportunities with digital filters is my creative outlet.

Whatever your decor needs are, I sincerely hope that you will find a print in my gallery that speaks to you, and can fill that special spot in your house or commercial space.
